I began making commercials/short films in May 2006. Prior to 2006 I worked full time in my own small wedding photography business. I had tons of great experiences which I know I'd not have had anyway/anywhere else. I'd be lying though if I said I wasn't happy to change careers after nearly two decades of negotiating with bridezillas.

Can't think of anything that allows for more creative expression than the editing bay. Love PopTent for what it is, and what it is growing into.

Since winning the inaugural Crash The Superbowl contest back in 2006, and scoring my first national television commercial, I've not looked back, nor been able to shake this addiction to commercial storytelling. In the 6+ years I've been doing this I've accumulated a ton of experience and have honed my ability to brand to the extent that I win about 50% of the assignments/contests I enter whether here at PopTent or other places on the web.

Anyone who knows me, knows there is no bigger advocate of utilizing peer review to make us stronger/better creatives. As freelance video producers, by sharing our talents and regularly improving in our craft, we can help make PopTent and other crowd sourcing portals the fiscally prudent choice for brands who are willing/able to recognize this superior alternative to the traditional advertising model. When we make crowd sourcing portals stronger, we improve our own employment opportunities in the advertising industry. There's nothing more awesome than being a big part of this major advertising/marketing evolution during it's cutting edge years. Let's do it in the biggest way we can.
